    NHLPA Board Votes to Raise Salary Cap to $75M

    The NHLPA Board is holding a vote to raise the salary cap to $75M this coming season. Presently the cap is set at $73M, but the PA has the right to escalate the ceiling.

    One site even had a rumour that it could go as high as $77.5M.

    This would obviously help a lot of teams who are facing a cap crunch.

    Friedman has just confirmed that the Board approved the cap escalator to $75M.
