Upper Deck Gets Newly Drafted Players to Do Shout Outs to Fans

OK so this is really cool. I was watching the latest episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night when a Twitter notification from Upper Deck popped up on my phone--we interact a fair bit on there so I made the mental note to check it out once I was done the show.

Like I said, really really cool! I was making the social media rounds and I saw Chris Carlin was posting a fair bit in the trading groups and on people's walls with similar videos with all the new guys. That's a pretty clever way to forge a connection between fan and player and get people interested in collecting a guy when he makes his NHL debut.

I think Carey is safe as my #1 guy still, but yeah I'm gonna add Ryan Poehling to the PC once he gets his NHL career started.

And do I see another Super Collection in the making? Can't wait to see that collection start to grow.

Thats awesome, I spoke with Chris yesterday at the draft fan fest for about 30 minutes off and on while waiting for Tyler Motte to show up. he's a great guy and UD has some cool stuff on the horizon
