    The Utah Jazz acquired Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio on Friday for a ‎2018 first-round pick via the Oklahoma City Thunder.

    The pick is top-14 protected, sources said.

    Meh ... I like the trade for the Jazz but they are an entirely irrelevant franchise ... I don't like it for the Wolves as I feel they could have received much more than a lotto-protected #1 for Rubio ... I get that it frees up $$$ for them to sign Teague, Lowry or Rose tough, so basically they're getting a lotto-protected #1 and a new PG for Ricky, so, it's not all bad ...

    Teague just signed with the T'Wolves for $57mil over 3 years so yeah the Wolves basically traded Rubio for Teague and a lotto-protected #1 ... decent.
