    Cases and Storage Question

So, I have quite a few cards for various PCs that I have picked up over the last few years that frankly are in storage and very hard to enjoy. I'd like to put them in some kind of cases so I can view them and enjoy them. Most of the standard thickness cards are in normal toploaders with sleeves and that works just fine. But I don't have decent cases for the cards of thicker stock so they are really hard to pull out and look at.

It seems to me that the standard is to use magnetic cases of the appropriate thickness. Is this correct? How does one go about determining the proper thickness of the case as it seems like a lot of cards (even GU cards) have quite the variety? Also, is it a good idea to use a sleeve inside a magnetic case? If so, how does one size the sleeve so it fits the cards and the case?

Finally, what kind of storage boxes or containers do you use for your cased cards?

Hi there.......I keep 99% of my collection in toploaders. Here is an article that also has a link so you can print out a card gauge with all the different sizes listed.

I also don't put my cards in a penny sleeve if I put them in a magnetic holder. I also use a team bag over every card I have in a toploader. I added a picture as an example of how I keep my cards.

I also store my cards in what are known as shoeboxes. There are two row and three row shoeboxes. Here is a link to a 2 row one.

I hope I was able to answer a few of your questions. Happy collecting!! :)
