Depends on the player, the card, and authentication.

Guys are getting some of the top stars to sign YG's, getting them authenticated, and they can go for pretty good money. There are circumstances where the IP auto can add value.

More often than not, it's just something you would want for your personal collection. I've got a pretty solid number of IP autos on cards by Josh Gorges. They're not likely to get moved. Whenever I get a chance to meet Carey Price, though, I don't get a card signed. I've got enough other cool stuff (like this one from last week) that a card just doesn't do it for me to the same extent. I'll generally lean towards an 8x10 or 11x14 if someone is doing an autograph signing--they just look cooler than hockey cards. Exceptions apply. This card looks pretty awesome.

That BOW card looks awesome! Great IP Auto choice.

And If I already have the unsigned version, I like the idea of having auto'd rookie cards too (Though I have yet to acquire one for my PC). I know some collectors don't like the idea of IP Auto'd rookie cards, but that's just my personal preference. It's like my own personal BuyBack auto!
