One undervalued card. What is it?

    Morning all,

I know everyone has a favorite player and card so I was curious what card do you have that if you could would make the top card on the market?

Sort of a strange question maybe but for example I have always been a Warren Moon fan and hold him in similar and maybe even a rivaled regard to Montana. Sure he doesn't have the accolades that Montana has but it has always been my opinion that when it comes to QB mechanics, style and athleticism IMO there has never been a stronger arm in football and for me will always be the best of the best. With this I have always wondered why some of the best cards of his were valued so low starting with his RC. I know there are so many variables with one of the main being his allure and then possibly stats and achievements but this is who I would make my top card and is for that matter : )

    Thanks and have fun!

His rookie is from 1985 Topps which collectors either seem to love or hate with the black borders (personally I like the set) and it seems like all the top cards from the late 80s of HOF players has tanked recently after checking the prices on Marino and Elway. That Elway rookie and the rest of the 1984 Topps set was so hot and to see it so low now makes me thing they either overprinted the heck out of it or there is some potential there. So if you see Elway and Marino increasing in value I could see Moon seeing an increase as well but if they continue to stay stagnant or go lower the market for these will just get worse. Also I was checking for raw cards as I don't really follow the graded card market so I don't know how that goes and maybe somebody else can chime in that knows graded cards.

To me the current most undervalued card is Tom Brady's Championship Ticket Contenders RC #/100 ... I don't care what they sell for - they should sell for more, period. That's my opinion.

However, if you're asking me what I'd "want" to be "the" card in the hobby ... it's actually a card I own and one I feel will one day be "the" card to own ... Jameis Winston's 2015 National Treasures 1/1 Shield auto'd and inscribed RPA:

I wish all the great players from eras past had their own 1/1 shield auto'd RC as they are such beautiful cards!

My pleasure! Thank you for making a cool thread ... Warren Moon was amazing and part of me is sort of glad that perhaps the three greatest pure throwers of the football that ever played (Marino, Moon and Dan Fouts) never won a ring as it shows that SuperBowls are NOT "invidual accomplishments" but TEAM accomplishments and therefore that it is absurd to use rings as a basis to evaluate individual greatness.

How do you reconcile that with considering Tom Brady the GOAT?

I do NOT consider Tom Brady the GOAT! I simply recognize that the vast majority of modern fans consider him the GOAT.
