    Best 2000 box?

    Hi all:

Newbie here. Looking to buy my son a box of football cards from 2000. Can anyone clue me in on what brand/box I should be looking at?

    Thanks.

this is a nice box right here:

    another good one:

    nice bowman box:

for your son, i'm sure he'd be pumped to pull an auto or a game used card. those boxes all have good chances of game used and autos. that bowman one and the UD SP guarantees an auto in every box. also, those all have some nice rookies from that year, such as Tom Brady. Hey,
I'm new to this site too, but I would say that it depends on your price range for the box. Like the other post says make sure it is a hobby box and make sure it has a chance to pull a Tom Brady rookie he isn't in all sets. Go to dacardworld.com and look at there selection. I'm not a promoter for them but they have good prices and i've ordered form them before. Why 2000? 2001 has a better draft class and 2006 is a real good class. Still if 2000 is a must go with Sp authentic $200+ a box , Contenders $130+ a box, leaf Certified, or Leaf Rookies and stars $75+ a box.

stay away fron UD Encore. All the rookie auto exchanges are expired. I`m sitting here with a Darrel Jackson and a Plaxico Burress UD Authentics Rookie Signatures cards that Upper Deck will not send out nor will they send anything in their place because they are expired. I asked for a refund since they did not send out a sales rep to collect any/all boxes from dealers and stores knowing they had expired cards in them. I bought 2 boxes for $60.00 which I thought was a great price for them, back around 2002. The boxes also contained SGC Graded RC`s(1 per box).

If you want cheap boxes from 2000, go with Skybox Dominion and Fleer Impact(niether have redemption cards I believe). That is if there are any left around. You can also try Topps Chrome. No auto`s or GU`d, but you can pull some SP RC`s #`d/1650. Alexander, Urlacher and Pennington being the big draws from that line. No Tom Brady in it though.
