Compendium Returns to ePack on 11/22

2017-18 Compendium Hockey is an e-Pack exclusive trading card set featuring a 900-card base set which is released in three series over the course of the 2017-18 NHL® season. Each series will feature a 300-card base set, various inserts, and multiple levels of parallels to combine and collect. Additionally, there will be various marathon achievement cards that can only be earned by completing sets within, and across, each of the three releases.

2017-18 Compendium Series 1 will feature:

• $0.99 per pack.

• 8 cards per pack, 24 packs per box.

• A 300–card digital Base Set (#1–300).

• Look out for rare 1–of–1 Printing Plates, randomly seeded into packs.

• Discover new Minute Men, Carbon F/X, Company Men, and rare Chasing Greatness digital insert sets.

• Combine digital Base Set cards to form Blue and Gold parallels, with the ability to have the physical cards mailed to you!

• Build entire sets to earn e-Pack exclusive achievement cards!

Zero interest in Series 1 this year.... but I enjoyed Compendium last year, and plan to do it again!

Got into compendium during Series 3 last year and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Looking forward to collecting it again this year.

I am hoping that if there is just a Blue and Gold parallel for Compendium this year that it will require collecting 10 and 100 copies of a card to get the parallels. I thought that 250 copies to get a gold was too much trading just to get one card. It was a fun set to collect and trade, but an easier target for gold would be appreciated.

I kind of figured this might happen. It is definitely changing the dynamics of trading and making it more challenging to complete blues. I think that E-Packs may end up moving away from free packs completely now that people are regularly using it.
