Guy, did he not declare the package as “gift” and marked the description that hockey cards were made in the USA?

Once in a while you get dinged. I would think their focus would be much better placed elsewhere. The handling cost it outrageous. They should be forced to wave it if the declared value is under a certain amount.
Even worse when it's UPS or FedEx and they get their brokers involved. They print money in the place...

Sorry to hear that. You will be sorely missed for all the trades you do with the folks in the U.S. As your feedback speaks for itself. What a shame.

Oh boy James! That's a can of worms to be opening up...
If I remember the next time I message you, I'll fill you in. I'm keeping all political stuff off the open forum.
I have actually noticed this a couple times lately Guy. Fortunately not for myself, but dually for the people involved got hosed like you.
It does stem from the sender ticking the goods box on the USPS customs form instead of gift. I think the thing we need to all be educated on is that as sending with a customs form we need to make it a gift, and use a lower $ value than what is in the envelope. Otherwise our Finance minister will slither those hands right into our pockets........ Gonna stop there!Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
