    Back in the Game!

Just joined the forum and just started getting back into collecting all types of cards after a 25 year hiatus. Hope this forum is fun and I forgot how much I enjoy collecting until I got bit by the bug a few months ago. Can’t say my wallet or wife is too happy about it, but I’m having fun!

I’m in my late 30s so I collected mostly 70s-1995, I’ve expanded into the 50s and picked up stuff from many favorite players after the mid 90s. I can’t believe how much things changed. The grading thing is out of control but I totally get it. Now I generally only want graded cards PSA, Beckett or SGC.

Any tips from anyone welcomed, I’m sure there are many that jumped back in later in life. Now I can actually afford cards I couldn’t as a kid!

Got a bunch of rookies... Nolan Ryan, roger Maris, Tom Brady, Frank Thomas, Ricky Henderson, joe Montana, Jerry rice, KGJr, Bo Jackson, Barry Bonds, George Brett, Walter Payton, etc...

Would post photos of my collection. But don’t see how to do that. Best - Jared

Welcome back! I was in similar situation where I was out of the game for a number of years and have been active over the past 6+ years.

I was very skeptical about the grading process and still have my doubts, but sometimes it's worth it if you are trying to flip the card. Also some people will only buy if it's graded!

I get the itch once in a while about opening a box, but rarely do it because today's products just don't appeal to me. I mainly collect vintage and autographs. Vintage has been able to sustain it's value.

    Welcome back to the hobby!
I collect vintage in all sports and rookies. However, I do love any Red Sox, Bears, Penguins or Celtics that I need for PC! Need 1959 Topps Baseball cards for a set (ending stages). My cards come from smoke free environment, so please be upfront if your cards are not. Also if your cards are creased or bent, be honest about it.

    Welcome back!

Usually you post pictures here by hosting them at a place that is an image hosting service. I would recommend flickr.com as most users use it here and it is free to use.

I’ve had a ton of fun opening old packs too. Went through boxes of 89UD, wild card, UD Hockey 90-94, stadium club? Old 80s baseball and football. Even pulled Montana and Rice rookies out of a pack.
