I think OPC Platinum is gaining in popularity every year where the other ones are still great - they aren't 'gaining' in popularity.

Id agree with the above on OPC Platinum. Theres really not a whole lot of innovation from UD. They stay the course as they have many popular sets. However some are really lacking such as SPGU, SPX, Black Diamond, UD Black, and Ultimate. Even ICE is trash without the /99 Rookies. OPC platinum is really cool. Its not too expensive and has good value.
Looks like UD has a few new products lined up for this year so maybe things will change a little.Flickr: Hidden Content

For me its fleer showcase easily! So many cool inserts like the ex cards, and I love all the different versions of rookies you can get, and the fact that there are so many numbered cards. Ive opened 3-4 boxes and every single one had something that made the box worth it, plus you can get hot boxes that is just sweet. The hot prospects autos are some of my favourite rookie auto designs too.

I didn’t crack any of it but I really liked 16-17 Premier. The designs and some of the subsets in there are fantastic. My card pickup of the year last year was a Weber Mega Patch — just love it. If I was a guy cracking wax and money was no object, I would go crazy with Premier.

I'm going to go off the board here, but I really enjoyed 16-17 Trilogy. Loved the look of the cards. Also, when the product was first released the price per box compared to the value you got back was excellent. Was very happy with the boxes I purchased.
I know this hobby is not supposed to be all about the value you get back, but it's nice to purchase a box of a set where most boxes end up giving you 1-2 solid cards at a minimum.

I'm partial to the Upper Deck Series 1 and 2. The YGs offer nice value that doesn't necessary bankrupt the average collector while they usually includee a nice assortment of inserts, jerseys, and the occasional auto. I have become a big fan of OPC Platinum. As a Habs collector I thoroughly enjoyed collected the different numbered parallels of all the Habs players, including both the regular and retro card streams.

Candian tire for me, a set I can afford to do with my boys and also trade with my hardware buying non card collecting buddies. The past 2 years I have said the same about tim hortons but this year, like to many other things in the hobby, it became about who could buy the most the quickest, and flip it for the most profit. I am sure the same will happen with CT if it becomes a regular relase.......but until then I will continue to enjoy the release with my boys
