What defines TV?
Hello everyone,
I recently started an Instagram account to show and trade my card collection. I've always worked off either BV or SV, but I see lots of people posting traders or cards for sale using TV (assuming this is Trade Value).
Can anyone let me know what this is, and how they determine a figure for TV of an individual card.
Thanks,
CC

I'm going to guess that its BV. I don't know for sure though but I'm pretty sure it comes from Beckett Value

Good question. Is there really a fool proof answer? The people who want to go by it may not even know? One of life's many mysteries hehe.

Trade Value could be a term that people grab ahold of after seeing others using it while not even really giving much thought to what it means? If someone uses TV in conversation, they may even not give a bit of attention to Beckett value? Who knows huh. I don't and it's ok if I never do.

Probably some combination of BV and SV. Occasionally the good folks at Beckett get it wrong and you’ll see a card sell for way higher/lower than the BV, and people will adjust accordingly to hit a value that reflects reality and makes a deal more fair in their eyes.

TV = I make up my own nonsense
It really means:
BV - no one will give me 120BV for this card that sells for $5
SV - I dont want to sell my 120BV card for $5
Ill make up a "TV" somewhere where I am happy
Yes "TV" means Trade Value
PS - Whats your insta? Was gonna do the same thing to see if I could open up another trade avenue

Yes, it sounds like something made up as well, from most of the posts I've read where a TV (trade value) is referenced.
My Instagram is cc-hockeycards - feel free to give me a follow. Be prepared though, to filter through a lot of annoying kids and scammers on Instagram regarding trading card accounts. This has been my experience so far.

Yeah... As others have said it means trade value.
Basically, i wont call it beckett value since most people think beckett is a joke.... But ill use those prices anyway, just under a different name.
