New year thread starter. Last night, I went to the G-League game between the Windy City Bulls and the Wisconsin Herd at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL. I stayed on the Herd side pregame, and was able to get 1 autograph on a card from 2017 Bucks 1st round pick DJ Wilson (he would only sign one, even though I had two different cards on the page), I autograph on a card from former Portland Trailblazers draft pick Cliff Alexander (he would only sign one, even though I had three different cards on the page), 3 cards signed by former Nets 1st round pick Chris McCullough, who is on assignment from the Washington Wizards. Shannon Brown is on the team, but he didn't come out for warmups, and then when the team came out, he ignored the 4 total autograph seekers. I also had cards for Joel Bolomboy, but didn't recognize him during the warmups. After the game, I tried to get Chicago Bulls assignee Cristiano Felicio, however, he did not come over as he was leaving the court. After the game, the Bulls have two players signing autographs in the pavilion, and I got one autograph on my crummy custom card from Chicago Bulls 2-way player Ryan Arcidiacono, and 1 autograph on my crummy custom card by former Wisconsin star Duje Dukan.

Today, I took a quick drive up to Milwaukee to get autographs from Milwaukee Bucks guard Tony Snell. Mr. Snell signed 5 cards for me, for free, at a food store in Milwaukee, WI.

He wasn’t in the signing area in front of the stage, and I didn’t stay to watch the band.

Last night, I went to the G-League game between the Windy City Bulls and the Canton Charge at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL. It was 1 of 3 celebrations of the Chicago Bulls championships, and featured an appearance by 5-time NBA Champion Ron Harper. I have never seen Harper do a free or paid signing in the Chicagoland area, so I was excited. Mr. Harper signed 1 mini basketball, but wouldn't put '5x NBA Champions' inscription on it. He mumbled that he never does that, not sure why. Then, I got three cards signed, although one was in a big thick black Sharpie that he wouldn't put down for awhile. I was very happy to add these autos to my collection!
During the game, I got 2 autographs on cards from former NBA player Melvin Ely, who is now a coach for the Canton Charge.

Yesterday, I started the day at the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL. This is the nation's largest auto show, and over 1,000,000 people attend each year. I scanned the list of players appearing, and no day really blew me away, but I decided to go on Saturday. First, I got 4 autographs on cards from former Chicago Blackhawks enforcer and 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Jamal Mayers. Then, I went to the Toyota booth, and they were having an Olympic theme. First, I got an autograph on a 3x5 promo card from Rico Roman, who I didn't know was going to be there, who is an American gold medal ice sledge hockey player and Purple Heart recipient who competed in 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Then, I was able to get 2 cards signed by American sprinter Allyson Felix, who has won 6 Olympic gold medals and 9 total Olympic medals. I then got back in line, and got her to sign and inscribe an 8x10 of her winning the gold in London, and also got a promo 4x5.5 card signed.

After the auto show, I drove to Rosemont, IL, for the Chicago Wolves AHL game. The Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights. It was Scooter Vaughn bobblehead night, which was the reason I went. After the game was over, the teams leave through a single area, and fans can gather and get autographs. I was able to get 2 cards signed by Beau Bennett, 1 card signed by Scooter Vaughn, 2 cards signed by Stefan Matteau, 1 card signed by Griffin Reinhart, 3 cards signed by Brett Sterling, 2 cards signed by Brandon Pirri, and 4 cards signed by former player and current GM Wendell Young.
