Prices?!?!?
Ok, this may have been discussed before, but im going to ask it anyway.
Why are cards losing value, but card boxes and packs continue to rise and rise?
You get these cards that book alot, but most of them will sell for only 50% BV. Some more some less. Then of course there is the occasinal "Reggie Bush". The hobby is being over produced and everything is losing value, but the packs and boxes still cost more and more. That doesnt make any sense. If cards lose value, shouldnt boxes? Why would we pay more for soemthing that is worth less?

Ok, Let me make this a bit clearer.
I dont think that new cards are worth less now than new cards 5-10 years ago were. Because cards are definately more now than then. But I dont think the price of a box reflects the price of a card anymore.
I guess all the discussion about Upper Deck products got me thinking. Maybe alot of times we are just paying for name.
