Bush in trouble
I just heard on ESPN that Reggie Bush and his family allegedly accepted over $100,000 in financial benefits while he was in college. It says Bush could be stripped of his Heisman. Do you think its true?

True? Probably.
Stripped of his Heisman? Who cares? Is it going to change his football ability? Is it going to get him kicked off the team later? No.
Will people care, ultimately? Probably not too much, especially if NO goes 10-6 or better.

His NFL career will not be affected at all.
But, it will be embarrassing for him and may affect his play.
I am a huge fan and am very upset with Yahoo dropping these allegations. It hasn't been proven and he will be protected by NFL money from the worst of it. The news will try and drag his name through the mud, but he will come out fine. Unfortunately they have painted it like a scandal (have you seen the mug shot type photos they are posting of him on the site, it's despicable).
I am biased, though. I'm a big fan. Shoot, I would have let the guy stay in my house for free during his senior year. Of course, I'd ask for some signed stuff in return, but whatever.
Reggie Bush, the NFL Running Back will be affected NONE by this.
Reggie Bush, the former Heisman winning USC RB, might be tarnished forever.
Would you take gifts if you were playing well enough to garner a $65 million contract six months from now?
I want to say I wouldn't... but jeez...

I wouldnt be surpirsed if it was true. But im not saying it is.
And how can you say the news is going to drag his name in the mud. All the media has done that past year or more is put Bush up on this godly pedistal(sp). Just listen back to the commentators of the Rose Bowl. Bush breaks a 3 yard gain and all you here is how amazing it was and how special this kid is because he ran for 3-yards. And it was just a normal every day 3-yard run. ESPN went on and on about him, 24/7. Even though USC had other great players, and there were other great players in NCAA. They forgot about all of them 90% of the time except Bush. ESPN was to Bush as Smithers is to Burns on the Simpsons, thats the best way I can put it.
I am also a fan of Bush now that he is not with USC lol, so its not like im a "bush hater" (nor the other "Bush", im conservative lol). He is a great player, and he was a great player in college. Arguably in the top 10 all time. I really enjoy watching him. But at the same time he isnt what alot of people make him out to be.
And I would hate to see him have he Heisman taken away. But if he has to face the consequences just like anyone else would (if its true).
