Finally got a eBay item not received case
Update on the situation with manchesterunited01_1, as expected even with the mountain of evidence, the hour talk with eBay's trust and safety department was of no help.
I sent this tweet out with all of the snippets of those that were involved. If you've ever sold on eBay and hate the fact that they only care about the bottom line, comment on this tweet or give a favourite.
Also if you ever write "fb" in an ebay message your account will be suspended for a week (lol)

Stolen item: Shayne Gostisbehere Premier RPA #190/299
My eBay store mojobreaks got a "did not receive" request on this eBay sale to Martin Houde of Levesque QC (ebay id: manchesterunited01_1).
I mailed several items along with the Gostisbehere that day and received feedbacks. I also filmed myself packaging and dropping it off at the post office (as I often do to keep track). So either Canada Post "lost" it (never happened before), or something else happened.
His feedbacks left for others are "interesting", and I did a search of his ebay ID on facebook and found this from Mike Stockley who also got the same "did not receive request" on a card.
Just a heads up for all of you guys that make sales on eBay. It's normally great (checkout the positive feedbacks that I receive on the daily).

Going to call eBay and see what can be done, but let me know if there is other course of action if any.

Does Canada post come with tracking? I'm guessing not since you didn't post anything about it.
You are most likely going to be out of luck as ebay always favors the buyers. My advice would be to call them and say that this guy has a history of doing this and is a thief (judging by his feedback). Tell them about your perfect feedback and see what they say. Videotaping yourself packing up the card and shipping it at the post office was a good idea. It's a shame that things have come to that, though.
For items shipped within the US, you can purchase insurance right there at the post office checkout counter. I'm not sure if you can do that when shipping to Canada, but for an expensive card it might be worth it to spend an extra few dollars on insurance. That way there's a better chance you won't be responsible for the cost of a "missing" or "lost" card -- especially if you have video proof that you mailed it.

I've heard of more and more people doing this lately in order to safeguard themselves. Sad state of affairs that we have reached this point.
I experienced a very similar situation to yours a few years back, where a card was claimed to not have been received by a buyer who had made several such claims. I got on the phone with eBay to plead my case saying look at the feedback for them and how frequently they claim non-receipt. Either they have the worst luck in the world, someone is stealing their mail at the post office, or they're full of it. I heavily emphasized the last option as my preferred scenario. eBay reviewed everything and did ultimately suspend the buyer's account, but I was still out my $$$ and a Carey Price auto patch that had been sold.
Thanks for bringing this forward to us, I'm sure just about everybody here will be putting a block on that buyer. Sorry to see it happen to you, it's a bad situation and unfortunately eBay probably won't help you even with the photo evidence you can readily provide along with your sterling record.

Since the particular card is numbered (#190/299), I suppose it couldn't hurt to check eBay in the coming weeks to see if that same exact card number shows up for sale. Although I doubt this guy would turn around so quickly and sell it on eBay (or to someone else, who might then sell it on eBay) if he does actually have the card in his possession.

Plain and simple. Treat the province of Quebec like youre sending a $500 card. Everything insured, everything tracked, everything signature confirmation. Make them pay for it too. Are you really hurting by singling out sales to that part of Canada? There has been ENOUGH evidence as to why no one should ship there.
Too many scammers in that province

I've had that happen to me before too, had proof also. Called them, they don't give a crap about you. They don't protect sellers at all, no matter what your feedback is. They always say the same thing... did you have a tracking? No... then we can’t help you!
