    LOR help

Hey guys, I’m fairly new to TTM autographs and was wondering what most people liked to do as regards to the letter of request. The few that I’ve sent out so far have been pretty basic. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.

mine are typically two paragraphs. The first one to introduce myself and let them know why I want their autograph. The second one is to request the autograph and thank them. Its a lot easier if you do a little research on the player beforehand.

I usually come up with a few questions (ie. favorite city to play in, toughest player ever faced, favorite pizza topping, etc.), then I ask for their auto. If you can come up with more unique questions (ex. if there was an MLB player that I saw play in the minors, I would ask about their time playing for that team/city), the better.

Two paragraphs, one explaining why you are asking for the autograph (ego stroking, if you will). Maybe you saw them make a spectacular play, or they went deep at the first game you went to. Maybe they were your favorite player growing up... Ask some questions... Whatever. Do some research and write something of substance.

Second paragraph ask for the autograph. Give an inventory of the envelope contents (cards, cash, pen, SASE, whatever) and any special instructions (requested inscriptions, autograph placement, keep extra cards, etc).

Thank them, and wish them well.

    Sign your name.

Brief but sincere is the best bet.

I keep it short and simple. Make sure to add please and thank you and you should be fine.
