    Hello everyone,

    Its been quite some time since I've done a S&T (6mo+?) and with this new year and decade upon us, I figured to create a fresh rolling PC thread that will display my collection as well as document new incoming pickups.

    If this is your first time "meeting" me through my show & tells, my name is Timothy & as my username would indicate, I'm a Wings fan. The main batch of players I collect are ones that I grew up with in Henrik Zetterberg, Ilya Kovalchuk, Pavel Datsyuk, Rick Nash, Jason Spezza as well as Anze Kopitar. I also maintain other PC's in other players such as Sebastian Aho, Teuvo Teravainen, Filip Forsberg, Mika Zibanejad, Anthony Mantha & Dylan Larkin. Also, as an homage to one of my favorite shot forms, I keep an eye out for Alexander Semin.


    I particularly enjoy enjoy focusing on rookie year cards, as well as show stamped cards such as those from the National & Expo. In addition, something that's taken a life of its own, have been jersey numbered rookie cards. Its not something I always kept an eye out for, but since 2016, after my first decent batch, the momentum just never stopped.

    My ultimate goal in collecting is to have 100% of rookie year cards for Henrik Zetterberg, Ilya Kovalchuk, Pavel Datsyuk, Rick Nash, Jason Spezza & Anze Kopitar. Within that 100% I don't include 1/1's and show stamped cards. Due to me getting into collecting such guys pretty late in their careers, there's no way i could ever get all of such cards. So for me, while I desire and actively collect them, I consider them cherries on top.


    Other things i'm interested in aside from Hockey cards (my main hobby passion) are select baseball cards of New York Yankees players, select rookie year cards of Indianapolis Colts players I grew up with such as Edgerrin James (HOF!!!), Reggie Wayne & Peyton Manning. I'm also into modern & retro video games, Pokemon cards from sets of my youth & ones that please my eye. Lastly, I'm also interested in vintage comics whose cover art aesthetically pleases me. So as you can see, its will be hard for me to ever be truly bored lol.


    With regard to collecting cards, 2019 treated me well. I've managed to really slim and pair down my collection to what I concluded are my main focuses. Looking back on the pickups of the past year, I knocked off some pretty big cards from my want lists. The biggest being a Henrik Zetterberg 02/03 UD Future Watch Patch Auto /100. That card has been on top of my want list for a long time. With that card, I completed my original goal that I set forth when I got back into collecting 9 years ago, which was to have every rookie year auto of Henrik Zetterberg.


    With the Zetterberg FWAP out the way, my 2nd most wanted card in Ilya Kovalchuk's 01/02 UD SPA Sign of the Times Triple /25 with Pavel Bure & Alexei Kovalev, has now been bumped up to first. This card has evaded me twice already (3 times depending on how you look at a certain detail), so its proving to be a toughie. But at this point where I'm at, which cards aren't? Its all good though. The older I get, the more laid back and and patient I become.
