    Not so IP successful

Great thing about living in Palm Beach is being within half an hour of four teams' spring training locations. Went to the Marlins' facility on Friday with no personal luck but my daughter got four signatures, including Justin Bour. Went to the Astros today and they didn't seem to be signing at all. It was Verlander's birthday and a lot of people brought balloons and cards hoping to draw him over with no luck. I was told that Altuve was only signing for kids 13 and under, which I'm fine with. Very few people seemed to have any luck today, though.
I take my son, who's only 21 months and let him run around, which means I can't really wait along the fence as players come by, which is also fine by me. I'm doing this for a collection for him and hopefully to get him into it early so we have a father/son activity as he grows up. I'm not the aggressive type who's going to push and shove kids out of the way to get an autograph. If I get one great, but it's more important to have some fun time at the park with the kids.
I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe the Cards or Nats tomorrow.
