    New from Winnipeg, Canada

    Hey guys I'm just starting out here. My grandfather played for the Winnipeg Jets of the WHA, Duncan Rousseau. I have a good amount of memorabilia from him but am looking to get things rolling on my own now. My main interests are pretty much any Canadian hockey legend and also the Dallas Cowboys ;) can't wait to get started, sending my first TTM to a former Jet today!

    Welcome Justin to SCF and that is cool about your grandfather being an ex Hockey player. Then also being a Dallas Cowboys fan is good to me as I'm one of them also. The TTM area on SCF is huge and make sure to check it out.

    Thanks guys. Is there a thread on here somewhere explaining which brand of cards are most valuable or sought after? Or is it just strictly based off of card rarity, whether it be auto, rc, numbered. Thanks.

    @Jjefkins6 value/demand is loosely based on brand, but mainly it's on a card by card basis. If you're on a limited budget then the standard Upper Deck Series 1 & 2 are your best bet as far as bang for your buck in concerned. If money's less of an issue then the options are certainly more vast. My personal favorite is SP Game Used, but it can be pretty hit & miss when it comes to busting packs/boxes. If you have some specific collecting goals in mind then that can help to narrow down your choices too.
