Well-Designed Jersey Cards?
Hi everyone,
I just took a big step into the 21st century of card collecting by trading for my first two jersey cards. Here they are!
I've found that some jersey cards are designed really well, while others look like they were slapped together with no thought of things like balance, color, readability, photography, and so on.
This is a subjective question, of course, but can anyone recommend some sets that feature well-designed jersey cards? Any year or brand is fine. I'm looking to add to my collection.
Thanks very much!

I guess before I could suggest my favorite designs.... what are you looking for:
Just "plain" jerseys?
Patch cards?
Auto / Patch (or Auto Jersey) ?
Just something from jerseys... or other memorabilia too ?

Good question, 30ranfordfan.
You know what? Patch cards just don't do it for me. Neither do the other types of memorabilia cards. I think for now I'm just looking for some standard jersey cards.
Thanks again!

Best ones out there are the Frameworks from SPGU. They are in my opinion the best looking jersey cards out there.

@sparty07 is bang-on - the SPGU Frameworks are the nicest looking memorabilia cards on the market in the last five years.
For anything else - beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes the card itself will have a cool design but the jersey swatch will just be awkwardly slapped on the card or have a weird shape to it.
If you're looking at just jersey cards, here are some of my preferred designs:
2013-14 Playbook Split Decisions
2014-15 UD Masterpieces
Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

Panini had the best GU cards in my opinion. Hope they can re-enter the hockey market someday.

I have had good luck with Between the Pipe jerseys. The swatches are typically very large on the card and it looks particularly good when you have multiple colors. The Split Decision is also a very nice card. I like big swatches.
I'm am not a fan of cards that put the jersey inside of lettering or numbering (like the Karlsson shown by Maggot). However, The Cup has a nice jersey card that shapes jersey like stanley cup.
I'm holding out for card with a nice Bobby Clarke tooth in it!
