How or Do you sort your base cards??

Well i asked this question before but still dont have a answer to it..

I have about full closet of 600count Boxes Filled with base cards. (About 90~100 600 Ct boxes)..

Most are from my breaks. I do not sort any of the base cards so im sure there are alot of Jeters, Pujols and other stars.

I also broke alot of BDP and have alot of chrome Rc's and just base Bowman Rcs in there..

If i would sort them by there names.. IT WILL TAKE YEARS... 1000 players...

    My question is....

1: How do you guys sort the base cards??

2: Do you sort them at all?

3: BINDERS!! Im trying to use this now with pages.. What cards goes in binders??

4: Is it worth it to sort base cards? Should i just sort Rc's?

    Thanks ahead..

    Great Question

1: How do you guys sort the base cards?? By Team - Best way for me to sort them in my plastic sorting tray.

2: Do you sort them at all? Football is teams are sorted - took 3 years, Marriage, Job, baby keep getting in the way!

3: BINDERS!! Im trying to use this now with pages.. What cards goes in binders?? I use it for more of my own personal collection of cards that are not worth very much.

4: Is it worth it to sort base cards? Should i just sort Rc's? Depends, on how many cards you have and how much time you have.

Sorting can be very much and very frustrating!

I think no matter how you sort them, it would take a long time to sort all those cards. But if you're like most of us, sorting is part of the fun of this hobby--its just time-consuming. There are quite a few ways to organize your cards and what works for one collector might not work for another collector. You might want to sort your cards one step at a time:

Step 1. Sort by sport. This may already be done if you only collect one sport or if you don't mix sports in the first place.

Step 2. Sort by year/set. Again this may already be done if you don't mix cards from different sets. You can even arrange your sets in alphabetical order.

Step 3. Sort by number/team/player--depends on which works best for you. I personally sort by team (checklists, league leader cards, award winner cards, other special base cards, NL West, NL Central, NL Ease, AL West, AL Central, then AL East) and then I sort those on one team by position. This way, when I look in a set binder, I can see who played on that team. However, if you makes lots of trades then perhaps its easier for you to sort each set by number. Or if your a player collector, perhaps you ignore the year/set/number and just sort the players alphabetically...
