    Knights and Kings

    That was one amazing game last night. High drama all the way through. Kudos to LA’s D corps stepping up in Doughty’s absence. It is not a easy task to replace an all-world blueliner like that. The one kid had never even played 20 minutes in a game and he racked up 40+ last night. And poor Quick—nearly eight full periods of hockey and he’s allowed three goals, and his team trails the series 0-2.

    The amazing run of the Golden Knights continues.

    I was really impressed with the Golden Knights, for a group of cast-offs they did a fantastic of transitioning and taking it to the Kings. It seemed like there were stretches last night where the Kings were totally dominated and looked out of place. Quick played well, but if the Knights continue to impose their will on the Kings, it won't matter.

    I love the Golden Knights! If Toronto or Winnipeg doesn't win the cup this year, I'm hoping Las Vegas wins (I KNOW, I KNOW, they are trademarked as the "Vegas Golden Knights" but I can't stand that).

    I have said throughout the season that the Golden Knights should be a favorite to win the cup. People have laughed (and continue to laugh) at me. I'm telling everyone right now - DO NOT be surprised if the Golden Knights are lifting the cup at the end of the postseason.
