Post David Fizdale Agrees To Become Knicks Head Coach

    https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/05/...ead-coach.html

David Fizdale has agreed to a deal to become the Knicks’ new head coach, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Fizdale will sign a four-year deal with New York, Wojnarowski adds.

Fizdale will become the Knicks’ 11th head coach since the 2001/02 campaign, ESPN’s Ian Begley notes. New York is seeking stability in the role and the organization hopes the 43-year-old Fizdale can provide it. As part of his new job, Fizdale is expected to travel to Latvia soon to meet with Kristaps Porzingis, Wojnarowkski noted.

Eh, I don't think this is the answer. I hated the way management treated Hornacek. He unfairly became the scapegoat for all the team's numerous failures. They will continue to go nowhere, IMO. And as talented as Porzingis is, I'm not convinced you can build a team around him. Has been injury-prone, moody, and doesn't seem to possess any notable leadership qualities. Knicks are a trainwreck, and it goes much further than the coach.

You are right the Knicks have a lot of problems. Porzingis could become a dominant superstar in the league but I think being on the Knicks will stunt him or anybody else at this point. The whole team is a mess and they are basically turning into the Browns of the NBA. They taint and destroy everything they touch. There are a couple of franchises in sports that I would NEVER want to go to and sadly the Knicks are one of them. I mean you could get the greatest coach of all time and they still wouldn't fix the mess that is the current day Knicks so I doubt Fizdale will be able to turn things around.

The Knicks are irrelevant ... and that's both sad and bad for the NBA ...
