Hawks To Sign Vince Carter
Vince Carter has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Hawks, tweets Michael Scotto of The Athletic. Carter will receive a veteran’s minimum contract worth $2.4MM, adds Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports (Twitter link).
The deal guarantees a 21st season for Carter, who will turn 42 in January. The oldest active NBA player, he spent last season with the Kings, playing about 18 minutes per night and averaging 5.4 PPG in 58 games.

Crazy that Dirk and Vince are still playing, two of the best from a loaded 1998 draft that also included Paul Pierce. Dirk in fact just set a record by going into his 21st year with the same team; I read that's the most ever for an NBA player.

Well the President Trump / LeBron / MJ thing sure is making headlines.
I have never agreed with the criticism MJ continues to get for how he handles sociopolitical issues. I actually admire his restraint in an age where people think they have to constantly shout angrily from the mountaintops and immerse their identities completely in political, race, or gender matters. There are more than enough noisy virtue signalers these days; not everyone needs to be one, and MJ thankfully probably never will be.

Trump's response to LeBron should have been:
LeBron calling me a bum because he doesn't think I measure up to past POTUS' would be like me calling LeBron a bum because I don't think he measures up to Russell, Jordan or Kareem. Regardless, LeBron has done great things on & off the court & I encourage him 2 meet w/ me 2 accomplish even more.
