I've also gotten to meet a lot of great people I wouldn't have otherwise met if it weren't for this contest! You've been been one of the beating hearts of this contest, Bake. I can't thank you enough for your continued contributions and generally awesome positive attitude and outlook towards life!

@ravens_creed @ClemD
Yeah the days you post your days, if you can score the prior days results that would help. So ClemD will post his normal Saturday schedule and score every Friday's results. Paul when is your day? Wednesday so you will score Tuesday's results?

@ravens_creed @ClemD
Sorry just to clarify since I read both your posts above. Do you want to score the points for the day you post your schedule so you will post the results the day after? Or do you want to score the prior day's results when you post your pics for your day?
ClemD - you usually post your day's picks for Saturday games on Friday night. So did you want to score Friday's games results when you make your post that night? Or did you want to post the results on Saturday night for the schedule you made?
I will go ahead and take care of the results for tonight Thurs 8/23 until we figure this out.

Clem - Thanks.
Paul - I guess you will score tonight's games then since you made the schedule and its probably easier. So at least that gives me tonight and tomorrow off.

Almost forget. Clem since you wanted brief explanation how to score it. So use template below but just change the date to coordinate with the day you are using. List the winning teams on the 9 lines under their respective level.
For tracking so everyone knows, for every member that selects a correct pick, put that winning team pick in the (parenthesis) next to their name then add their SP/RPs up. If a member doesnt participate in that day, delete their name from the line. If a member misses all their picks, put a 0 by their SP/RP so Paul knows to adjust master scoring sheet. If any new member joins that isnt on list, just add them to it alphabetically. See my post from last night (post #10927) to see how a completed one looks like. Thanks again.

No prob @key2win. Thanks for the heads up.
It's actually not Clem, though.
Started out as JoeyDonuts. Now it's ClemD (short for Clem Doore -- love Christopher Walken). It'll be GertBFrobe at some point (working on that now).
For any of you Joe Dirt fans.

@key2win - Yeah, I'd much rather score my own schedule the following day than to score someone else's schedule from the previous day on the day that I post my schedule... and I did just that today!
@ClemD - I think this contest will be used as a point of comparison for other contests on the site going forward. It's no secret that it has been a very popular contest, and that the implementation of RPs has worked very well. I could see daily pick 'ems or similar elements of this contest being repeated elsewhere. The biggest problem, obviously, is the maintenance and scoring of the contest. I have no doubt that there is enough interest to keep the contest going. In fact, the number of participants keeps going up. If popular demand counted, this contest would surely continue. It's coming to an end for 3 reasons.... 1) the daily maintenance is time-consuming, frustrating, and never-ending. The only way I kept this contest running for this long is at the expense of time spent on other things, and overcoming the mental/emotional hardships it caused (makes me sound like a snowflake when I put it like that, but it's true, this contest takes a toll on you!). 2) Too many RPs being given out every week/day causes heightened inflation with RPs on SCF. There is a certain market and value for RPs that SCF tries to maintain, and this contest puts a very imbalanced number of RPs into the hands of a few people, and kills the use of RPs on the site for everybody else. Also, creating RPs is something that only two people can currently do (the owner and the GM) and it takes a bit more than just a few clicks to make it happen. Every month, I have to message patriotsguy and ask for an RP top-up. It got tiring really quick for the both of us. 3) This contest was started as a way of offering up the very generous $60 gift certificate from Dave and Adam's Card World. The contest is a vehicle for giving one lucky winner that prize, a prize that should drive some business DA's way. After over a year and a half, we have their gift certificate and they haven't received anything from us. The relationship that SCF has with its sponsors needs to maintain its standard and reputation which dragging this contest on and continuing to not give out the gift certificate doesn't achieve. That's the long version, anyhow.
