Madden Curse

Alexander is out indefinately, plus he has been struggling. Im the MOST unsuperstitious person in the world. I do NOT believe in luck (even though I play poker), or anything like it. Ill walk under any ladder anytime, or anything else like that. But as of today I will never, ever be on the cover of Madden lol. This is getting serious.

And I hope that LT, or any of the Cowboys arent on it next year.

I used to think it was coincidence(sp), but I dont know anymore.

How can anyone not think you become jinxed? It has happened to averyone from Vick, McNabb, Lewis, Culpepper and now Alexander. Next year they better not put Peyton on it. I think they will put Reggie Bush on next years cover.

Well I dont know all this for sure, but from what someone else said the player has gotten hurt or played bad the year after every year from 98(Garrison Hearst I believe), up until now. Someone may want to check that out for sure though.

here is the madden curse breakdown, and it is a 100% REAL CURSE!! check this out:

first player to grace the cover of madden was barry sanders in 2000 (prior to that, madden himself was on the covers)....well, sanders retired before the 1999 season even started!! there was also another cover that was used (not widely known) featuring dorsey levens....levens ended up being cut by the packers in the 2001 season

now, here is where the real curse begins!!

2001 eddie george - never the same after!! avg dropped below 3 yards/carry....had less than 1000 yards in 02

2002 daunte culpepper - season ending knee injury

2003 marshall faulk - got injured, never had another 1000 yard season

2004 mike vick - ONE DAY after madden 04 was released, vick broke his leg!!!

2005 ray lewis - injured the last game of the season, no INTs after having 6 the year before, and had a season ending injury the following year

2006 donovan mcnabb - injured in first game of the season, ended up missing the last 1/4 of the season (maybe the madden curse had something to do with the TO/DMac feud!!)

2007 shaun alexander - week 3 broken foot (after breaking the TD record and leading the league in rushing the previous year!!)

starting a petition for TO to do the cover in 08....who's with me??
