Redskins To Sign Adrian Peterson
https://www.profootballrumors.com/20...drian-peterson
The Redskins have agreed to sign running back Adrian Peterson to a one-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL.com (on Twitter). Peterson auditioned for the Redskins on Monday morning and it did not take long for a deal to come together.
Peterson will provide the Redskins with another option in the wake of several running back injuries. The Redskins have lost presumptive starter Derrius Guice to a torn ACL and there are questions about the readyness of Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall for Week 1. The addition of Peterson gives the ‘Skins four healthy backs as he joins Rob Kelley, Chris Thompson, and Kapri Bibbs on the practice field.

Interesting signing. I don't think without a lot of bad luck to the guys in front of him will be see a return of the 15-20 carry Adrian Peterson. He does provide valuable depth and in short stints he seems to be effective in the right situation. Thompson will undoubtedly be the passing down back but Peterson may prove to be valuable also in the film room helping mentor the young backs. It would make for an interesting career switch for him.
Also, because my pedantic nature won't allow me to ignore it. *Readiness is with an "i", not "y". C'mon Zach Links, you are better than that!

Yeah I really don't get how articles can have spelling mistakes like that since even my Firefox browser comes with a built in spell check. Any word that is misspelled will show up with a red squiggle line underneath it. Shouldn't be that hard to just go through and correct the words you don't know how to spell when you are a "journalist".

I'm thrilled to see A.D. back in the league … he's my son's favorite NFL player of all-time and one of my three favorite RBs of all-time along with Barry Sanders and Marshall Faulk … if he gets 240 carries I think he'll hit 1,000 yards and that's very possible if he stays healthy.
