Hello everyone, I’m Chris. I collected baseball cards as a kid, but it was the late 80s and early 90s sets so nothing very valuable. I did have a pretty nice Frank Thomas collection of about 400 cards though! Those all disappeared during a move when I was 17 so I quit collecting until 06 when I built (mostly) a few football sets after the epic USC vs Texas championship game. That 06 Ultra set with the /500 Lucky 13s had me hooked! I built the whole set, the gold medallion set (except for about 10 rookie I recently picked up), all the inserts sets (except for for 7 Campus Classics I still can’t find), and about 40% of the jersey insert parallels. I recently completed all of the jersey sets except for 2 cards I’m still looking for. I also built the 06 Topps Chrome football, insert sets, all rookie autos (except 2), and I have about 75% of the refractor set I want to revisit soon.

As you can see, I am a set builder. While these sets weren’t really high-end, I couldn’t really afford them or the sets I really wanted to build in 06 so I gave up collecting again for a while.

I got back into collecting for the 2017 NBA rookie class and picked the Contenders Draft Picks Basketball set. I have spent the last year building that set with all the variations, plus the Draft Ticket /99 /25, and Cracked Ice /23 parallel sets. I am down to needing a handful of College Tickets, and 30ish Cracked Ice Tickets, but they have kind of dried up on ebay. I started picking up the missing 06 football cards but haven’t been able to track-down the last few of those either. I was searching other places to buy cards and found my way here. Thats me as a collector in a nutshell! Now I’m going to get out of my nutshell and go back to searching for cards
