2018-19 Hoops box break -- AMAZING ODDS-BEATING PC HOTBOX!
Hey, folks. Even though I've been disappointed with the NBA season so far, I went ahead and got the traditional Hoops box for the season (ordered from Charm City Cards).
Yesterday, I looked up to see if any cards of local Springfield, MO player, Anthony Tolliver, would be made. Tolliver is a journeyed vet, and I was excited to see they put him in this season's Hoops set after many seasons of being in no NBA sets whatsoever. I planned on going after and trading for the Tolliver rainbow. I knew the odds of hitting anything but the Tolliver base might be slim, but I was hopeful.
Well, I didn't hit the base, but look who popped up among the numbered base parallels...
/99 and /199 in the same box!!!
I mean, seriously, what are the odds of him showing up twice in the same box, for about the only person in the world who collects his stuff? lol, it's amazing.Here are the auto hits --
For the rookies, I got most of the top-producing names so far, including Luka Doncic, Trae Young, and DeAndre Ayton.
Notable inserts -- a couple of Ben Simmons (Action Shots and NBA City), Klay Thompson Action Shots, Dirk Arceologists, Harden Backstage Pass, Donovan Mitchell and Steph Curry Courtside, Kobe Legends of the Ball, Jayson Tatum Picture Perfect, and Trae Young We Got Next.
Also got some Cavs and OKC PC stuff, including a Sexton RC and Love NBA City insert.LMK what you might be interested in even if I haven't listed it yet. I know some of you go after the set, and I have tons of base to sort through. Thanks for the look, and wow this was a cool box for my PC.
