UD Exquisite
I'll admit that I've only recently gotten back to collecting after a 15 year hiatus...but since when were any cards worth $500/pk? I enjoy a good card as much as the next person but at the end of the day, aren't they really just pictures on cardboard? What, are they gold plated or something?

Times they have been changing. It is not for kids anymore. I know when I was a kid, my mom would have freaked if i'd have asked for more than 1 $10 pack at a time. Unless you go with Topps, the rest of the stuff has gotten dicey for the youngsters.

Hobby has tiered itself to death.
High end for those who buy early and just flip for profit.
Really low end for those who just relish the feeling of pulling a big name rc out of a pack.
The hobby's all about money...buy now, sell now.

I am back after a 14 year hiatus (I remember because I stopped after '93 finest baseball came out) and it has gone bananas.
I remember when the refractors of this set were going for ABSURD amounts, and that was the start of it all. I don't see how anyone is going to pay the same amounts for these cards in 5-10.
I am with most of the dealers in town here... they won't touch the newer stuff for buying, so we stick to vintage...
