Rockets done with Carmelo after just ten games

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...aying-10-games

Not a Carmelo fan, but giving a guy only ten games to fit in is ridiculous. There has to have been more going on here than they're letting on publicly. Very weird situation all-around.

Team destroyer Carmelo ruins another team. If I was a GM I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole if I wanted my team to win. Now if the team was garbage and had no future and maybe you wanted to tank the season to get a #1 pick I'd go after Carmelo. He can put up garbage time points to pad his stats but you'd have to be crazy or wish for self harm if you think about adding him to a team that has any chance of winning anything IMO.

That's the major reason of what made the signing so odd. Didn't they know his play style didn't fit well to begin with? I mean if you're gonna can a guy after ten games, you have to understand it also reflects badly on the decisions the franchise made...why sign a guy who probably won't fit?

I agree 100% … however, it didn't cost the Rockets much in the way of cash and they just blew out the Warriors without Melo, so I don't think they're worried about it anymore … I hope Melo can latch on somewhere, be it in LA, Philly, etc., and close out his career in style as I've always liked the guy, despite his short-comings.

One player cant "destroy" a team. If thats the case they were weak in the first place. Also lets not forget Melo is a future HOFer. I can name 100 worse players in the nba right now than Melo. Rockets just using Melo as a scapegoat.
