    1995 Excalibur Question

So, I am working on one of my long term collecting goals which is to assemble a complete collection of Joe Montana from his playing years (which I define as cards produced from 1981-95, since 94 was his last year 1995 cards reflect that season). I'm working on making my checklist spreadsheet as accurate as possible to help make my search easier.

One of the issues I am running into is understanding the 1995 Excalibur set made by Collector's Edge. There are a number of parallels based on the base set which features a sole Montana card...#107. According to Beckett, there is a base card, a die cut as well has 4 redemption versions of each called "Sword and Stone." These come in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond versions. So, with that there should be 5 versions of the "base" card and 5 versions of the "Die Cut" card. Most of my searching has confirmed those cards.

But, Beckett lists an additional "Gold" parallel which I can't seem to find any information on. Further research on the Becket site indicates the existence of a full 150 card Excalibur Gold parallel set. But, I can't find a single example an Excalibur Gold (of any player) listed for sale online. Is this simply an error in the Beckett database or do these cards exist? Thanks.

    That is helpful...thank you.

But, is there a Excalibur Gold (non Sword/Stone) parallel? Beckett lists one but I can't find a reference to any card like that in the set...Montana or otherwise anywhere else.
