    Hello, very nooby collector here!

    Hi,

    I am so excited to join a forum with people who take this hobby super seriously. I am a 19 year old Nursing student and Leafs fan who moved from Toronto to Chicago three years ago. Started collecting hockey cards recently, with an awesome start from a 15/16 UD1 Blaster Box which you may be able to guess (YG CONNOR MCDAVID!!!). I try to keep up with getting new cards, but kinda hard as a college student lol.

    My goal is to have a good collection that I can pass on to my kids! I collect anything and everything, but since the Leafs are my fav team, I might start focusing on just the Leafs. I am a noob, so I would love if you would like to share some advice for collecting and maintaining a collection.

    Welcome and enjoy the site. My advice would be to stay focused on what really interests you. Obviously the Leafs would be a prime candidate for you. Being a vintage collector, I'm always leaning towards them. I know your young and want the new stuff, but don't forget about those old Leafs!

    1). Collect your passion (narrow the scope) one card of each Leaf player, Luke narrows it to auto, game used, base, etc. or perhaps narrow it to a player you really like but beware the high priced new rookies etc.
    2). Set a budget
    3). Build up friendships and relationship to help you obtain your passion.
    4). Find resources to help you educate about the hobby to make informed decisions when trading buying selling etc.
