It's luka time!!

I haven't opened any basketball since 16-17 select I believe and it was absolutely terrible, but with Luka taking the world like no other rookie maybe ever I had to try something at my LCS. Surprisingly they still have a lot of Donruss and their lone box of Prizm, but what I was looking at was their lone box of Revolution. I would have been interested in their box of Retail prizm, but that was gone. My two cents on Prizm is that Panini overkilled the brand and killed its value. The products are now driven by Luka and the silvers and autos which drove the market, now aren't that desirable at all. Saturation is the biggest problem in the market/hobby and it just continues! Well here's the show! One and done!!

Sorry your 16-17 Select break wasn't good. I got a rare Kevin Love auto out of my box; Select has usually been good to me. But obviously BIG congrats on the recent Luka auto pull!

And yeah I'm over Prizm too. It's no longer affordable for me, and it seems to have run its hobby course. I might get Optic to have a shot at a Luka pull. That's the only product I'm looking at this year other than Hoops, which I usually get when it comes out (my box this year was cool because I hit rare pulls of another PC player).

Prizm isn't even about the price anymore. There is simply too many Prizm retail products out there and none of them make sense to me. I understand that not everyone has access to a LCS, but I believe there are three different kinds of retail products? When everything in the hobby comes down to value and only the silvers being worth much of anything, having more than 1 type of product is totally senseless to me. I like Optic as well since the design is clean and there are a lot of parallels .
