    Hello everyone.

    I've been on and off SCF for a few years now, but have never posted anything. I live just outside of Boise Idaho since 1994. I started collecting cards back in 1970 as I walked home from elementary school. We had a 7-11 on the way home that I stopped in and would buy a pack or two of Topps cards. I mostly collect Topps Baseball, Football and Basketball, years 1970-1974. I do have some newer stuff that I picked up at yard and estate sales, but a not real collector of the newer years.

    Hope to chat and maybe trade with people on the site.

    Welcome to SCF Gary! Are you a Boise State fan? I come over to Meridian once a year to visit a good friend and love that area. I was stationed at Mountain Home and spent my weekends in Boise!
    Looking for Aaron Judge cards, current Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs!

    Pretty cool story of collecting the older packs on coming home from school. Just think if you had kept those packs closed for all those years what they would be worth now lol. As I have told many folks over the years there are members who check a lot of things going on in the hobby, posts on the boards, and never reply. As some folks are like if a member post they are not active. Thanks for sharing that even though a member might not post on the boards they could still be a part of the boards by showing up to check out threads. So if you can enlighten me what have you been looking at or reading if you been checking things out on SCF. Thanks,
    @gtchapman

    Hi Don,
    It would be interesting to see what they would have been worth not opened.But, like most of us would-be later collectors, that are getting close to 60 or older , we loved opening them up to see who we got in the packs and if we wanted to trade them with our friends back in the day. I haven't really checked out any threads or groups on SCF, I mostly use it to keep track of my collection, kind of an inventory control system.
