How do you place value on cards??

If the cards aren't valued in a price guide yet?

I have been looking at Ebay and checking the "Buy Now" prices, but I know you can't take those prices literally sometimes. So I was just wondering how do you place value on a card that has yet to be priced in a guide?

price guide is worthless when you are looking for actual value of cards. A good reference is completed auctions on Ebay which gives you an idea of what people are really paying for a card.
