Question Fleer Auction Card Value Question

I was curious about what the going rate is for the cards purchased from the Fleer auction? Half bv? 2/3 bv? Would they be worth getting, especially the cards that normally would be low #'d (#'d 50 or less).

    LMK what you think.

If you are referring to the replacement cards, then the prices vary. You can never do % of BV for something like that as cards were numbered differently. They will be less, but no one really knows how many replacement cards are out there. That's the problem.

On the other hand, there are a lot of unreleased cards that were never packed out. Depending on rarity, they could go for big $$.

He's referring to the cards that were in Fleers vault and were bought by people which I guess are replacements but they were also for reference I had heard and also used to show to the NFL, etc. None of them are numbered unlike the originals that all had serial numbers attached to them. I stay away from them b/c they aren't #'d so it could be 10x as many or 10x as less. I did buy a couple but only b/c I had never even seen the original counterparts. I also am not sure that there are less than the originals b/c there is an 04 EX patch of Edgerrin James numbered out of 11 and I have seen no less than 14 different ones that aren't numbered be sold by the same seller. I know they are different b/c I watch lots of Edgerrin James auctions and save pictures of certain cards etc to keep track of my collection better. All of them were patches but none were identical. Anyway like I said I stay away b/c theres no telling how rare or abundant they are.

Yes, but they also had some unreleased cards that never saw the light of day until the auction that were not numbered like the rest of the cards in the set(s).

Yeah but the ones I had never seen before (04 InScribed Black border, red lettering) were listed in Beckett already so I wasn't sure if they were released or not. Although when I checked all the other player supercollectors none owned one of their player. Darn Fleer, lol.

I think you misread what I wrote. I said they were already listed so I was not sure if they had been released or not (no one else had ever seen them or owned one). I didn't say anything about cards not listed in Beckett, my assumption would be if its not listed in Beckett then it was never meant to be released, but somehow got out. Thanks though and good job on having cards not listed in Beckett!!!

If it's listed in Beckett with a BV, most likely I wouldn't want it. :)
