Beckett Hockey Monthly Price Guide
Hi guys, why doesn't Beckett list every set? For example, AFAIK there is no 1999-00 retro hockey in there.

Because if they listed every set it would look like a Bible - perhaps larger....
I don't know if Beckett does it anymore but they used to do a yearly version where they did list everything - but I would imagine at this point they cant do it anymore...
There are just so many sets and cards out there - it would be impossible to list everything.
Although I do have an idea.... Perhaps Beckett could have a version that lists everything by decade?? I always thought that would be a good move for beckett to do... You know like a Beckett that lists everything pre-1980, another version that lists everything from 1980 to perhaps 2005 and another that lists 2005 to the present, follow what I'm saying....
Then again Beckett's "values" are really meaningless these days so.......I mean the vintage stuff goes for WAY more than Beckett suggested values and a TON of newer stuff is way undervalued....
TBH, ebay is way ,more useful than Beckett..... I mean I could argue that Beckett at this point is actually hurting the hobby...... Because you got these collectors out there that will say weird stuff like: "well Beckett says this" ....... SO in that sense I'm happy Beckett doesn't list everything...
I mean I have sold raw cards for 10x what Beckett suggests - and it's not because I was trying to take collectors for their money but because they know the card is rare and made ME an offer.....
So yea - in my opinion - Beckett is useless... A card is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it..... I mean Beckett has a lot of prices er values out of whack........
Just my opinion of course....

Gotta get the OPG for full listings. Paper book can only fit so much in so many pages.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yeah, they stopped listing sets that don't have much interest, in a way to save room.
