Switching From Beckett
Hello all,
I am trying to see any feedback from people who have switched from Beckett to here. I have quite a few to move over. Is there an easy solution for that or is it hours of one at a time? For anyone has used both, is there a clear drawback from using this page solely? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Joe (& Joey)

I switched from B to this site years ago. This is the best site on the net for card info, buying, selling or trading.
Have never had a problem here.
Join the site, its free, and enjoy it.

Thank you for the response. I've been using the org for so long that change is going to be a huge step. Factor in that this site is free and my concern is that I leave Beckett and then this site vanishes with all of my collection. I repeatedly back up my org to PDF, so it wouldn't be completely lost, but entering all of the cards once was a big enough pain in the ™™™. Thank you for the reply and I'm hoping that this really is a true replacement for all of the $$$$ that I have spent there!!

it will be a little time consuming adding a large collection to the inventory manager here, There are some short cuts like adding entire sets at once or adding multiple cards from the same set. Any questions feel free to pm me or ask in the forums lots of great knowledgeable members willing to help
Wayne Gretzky PC 1671 cards
Wade Boggs PC 411 cards
Tony Gwynn PC 195 cards

It is well worth the switch. This place is better and FREE. Yeah it is a pain in the butt to move over but better to have a backup in case Beckett goes under and then you are totally out of luck.

Adding complete sets is something that I have been doing on Beckett for a couple of years. In comparison to Beckett, how quickly are newly released sets made available? My PC is only 2 players, Ovi and Gaudreau. So I batch add them and then go through the sets and add whatever other items that I have. It would be awesome if there was an eBay add on, similar to what never happened on any other site. With the positive feedback I am receiving I think making the switch will be easier than I thought. Thank you for your help !! -Joe (& Joey)

Are you adding full sets or only what you have on hand ? The main reason that I add the entire set is that if I trade for and then sell a card I can have it tagged in the set as being traded for, sold, etc. For me at least, it seems easier than adding one here and then one there. Let me know how you are making out. -Joe (& Joey)

That back up idea is a sticking point for me. With Beckett I can save the org as a pdf. That is better than nothing and with Beckett being a large corporation the chances of their servers crashing is small. Hopefully I will be able to do something like that here. -Joe (& Joey)

Hi Joe: I've made two separate databases for my traders and for my PC players that I collect . That way I can just remove the individual cards as I trade them away and add Individual PC cards as I collect them. Plus it's very easy to copy and paste my entire database when I post to show which traders I currently have available for those who might need any. I've seen many of your posts on Beckett, but I can't trade there since I haven't renewed my subscription. With the lack of trading on that site , I can no longer justify the cost of renewing for a month , and not be lucky enough to complete any helpful trades. I would estimate that SCF has resulted in my acquiring 75% of my current PC collection , with many repeat transactions with the helpful and friendly folks here !!!
WE COLLECT : CONNOR MCDAVID --- NATHAN MACKINNON -- ERIK KARLSSON -- CAREY PRICE --- BRADY TKACHUK -- AUSTON MATTHEWS -- THOMAS CHABOT --JAKE SANDERSON -- AND VARIOUS YOUNG GUNS
