1996-97 Donruss Elite - Rediscovering Iggy's Rookie Class in Real-Time
Ripped a box of 1996-97 Donruss Elite. I was very unfamiliar with the product. Both Dave & Adams and Hockeydb did not have accurate annotations of who the rookies were. So, per usual, I annotated them in the video. It doesn’t really matter, as back then RCs were essentially commons, and not inserted as box hits.
It’s actually a pretty nice product, and there are a couple of rare chase Lemieux and Lindros autos, including a dual #/500 with both of them. I haven’t really seen many of those on eBay, so I doubt there are many in circulation. And given how 1990s products were mass produced, hitting that dual in a box is very unlikely.

I broke a box of this a couple of years ago. I love the look of the base cards :)
