Just bought my first ever box of football cards

Topps Rack Pack Box for $40. It still needs to be shipped.

What can I expect? I was really intrigued by the idea of vintage cards included, but I'm worried they are going to be mostly 80s or something, which is obviously not quite vintage... anyone ever open one of these?

Haven't opened a box of them so I have no idea what all you will get but I opened a ton of the rack packs and as far as the vintage is concerned I think I am about 1/2 of the way to a thrilling 89 Topps Traded set. Have a few doubles as well. Out of all the ones I bought I think only 6 or so were not 89 Topps Traded and they were no better (I think some Falcons kicker from 87 and some linemen for the Rams from 84?)
Hope you have better luck than me, but I don't remeber having ever heard of anyone getting a decent "vintage" card.
LMK if you do though since that would be cool.

Don't know about Football, but when I bought a box of baseball rack, I got a very few solid 'vintage' cards, including an 86 Boggs and Clemens. Most of it, though, yeah, was crap :)

For last years football I got a Chris Carter rookie. But everything else was crap. Getting some 70's cards is always neat though.

For this years basketball the best I got was a 92-93 Larry Bird MVP card.
