Question about graded/grading vintage opc
With the fall expo coming into town this month I have been going back and forth about taking my messier and Coffey OPC RC with me and getting them slabbed with PSA (from my understanding they'll be there - unless someone here knows they won't).
I have been recently getting into vintage Oilers RC as the cards are simple and beautiful looking.
I picked up my first slab on the bay at a very low price and I received it last night and I really like the look and feel of the slab.
I know a PSA6 is not the greatest grading but the price was good and didn't want to commit a large amount of money if I was going to like the card in the slab (this one will one day be upgraded with a higher grade)
Given the recent PSA scandal my question is is it worth grading the Messier and Coffey? These cards are strictly PC and I don't plan on ever moving themm
Also if someone can give me some insight on the costs of grading the two cards at the expo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers,

That was going to be my next question. What's an acceptable cut off for grading (I guess with the exception of Gretzky when on a budget - lol)
