I think that he may have obtained it thinking that it was genuine, but later found out it was a fake. Probably cutting his losses. There are some sellers out there who state up front that their card can not be authenticized as real so they are putting it up "AS IS". He probably just expressed himself incorrectly.

Wow, people do wierd things. I've seen other auctions like this. I agree with others... at least he is honest!

He may be honest? He did not come right out, and say, "this card is fake." He said that he was informed that the card was fake. Although reprints are not fakes, there are a lot of auctions for 1909-11 T206 cards that state "being sold as is."

It is 100% fake, but this card should be destroyed and off the market, PERIOD!!! Hell, I could pick it up and sell it to some uninformed guy and make a big profit off of it, which is almost surely what the person who buys it will intend to do. Now, if the seller writes "FAKE!!!" on the back, that might detract that from happening:-)!
