You have a time-machine and you can go back to the 1980s to get one box of cards....

.... what are you going to go back for and why?

    1985 Topps USFL

Were these a big hit when they came out? I highly doubt it but it was before my time. Seems like you could have picked all of this up for cheap and made bank when the 90s came around with Reggie White, Doug Flutie, Jim Kelly, Steve Young, etc rookies being in the set.

My first thought too! Tons of HoF rookies plus a nice clean Score design.

My second choice. Love that tacky green border and teams grouped together (like other Topps sets I know) with the bonus of some great RCs from players who initially started in the USFL plus other HoFers like Rice.

I'd go with 89 score aswell for the deeper checklist of rcs. The other sets you are just looking for graded gem mint rookies of a few select players. Graded cards took all of the fun out of collecting and made people picky and created too many scams.

    ‘81 for Montana and Hampton
    ’83 for Singletary
’85 in hopes I could do a better job than most to protect those black boarders
‘86 for the same reason as the ‘85 except the green boarder that shows every flaw and to get my hands on a clean Rice

If your twisting my arm and making me pick only one I’d say 1983 cause I want the thrill of opening and finding my own Singletary rookie that’s pack fresh.
