Houston Astros' Jeff Luhnow, AJ Hinch suspended 1 season / Cora is next

Here is the interesting nugget of the story
Discipline for Red Sox manager Alex Cora is coming and is going to be harsh, sources told ESPN. Cora was the Astros' bench coach during the 2017 season.
Cora is identified throughout MLB's report as the ringleader along with Beltran. Commissioner Rob Manfred said that discipline for Cora will be announced at the completion of its investigation into the Red Sox's alleged use of the video replay room to steal signs during the 2018 season.

Some big suspensions and penalties being handed out.
It is sounding like Beltran will escape any form of punishment.

which i think is something to watch for with the Mets... if there is even a sniff of this with them, Beltran is going to be the looked at as the culprit.

Think the punishment should have been more harsh. This might deter teams from doing this for a little while but not for good. Majority of team owners would take that punishment for a championship.
Loss of 1st and 2nd rd picks in 2020 and 2021, $5 million dollar fine (most allowed under current MLB constitution), and suspending of GM and Manager. I do like that the owner fired the guys.
The $5 million fine is nothing at all. They lose those picks and save part of that money that way. Either way $5 million dollar fine is nothing since an owner can just shed payroll at worse. I think if the MLB wanted to send a bigger message they would have taken away more picks and for more years. Just another tainted championship in sports where the team doesn't lose out on much at all.

5 million is the max the league can dole out.
