**UPDATED** NHL Suspends Season

The National Hockey League announced Thursday that it is suspending its regular season until further notice as the COVID-19 situation continues to worsen.
All morning stakes, practices and meetings were cancelled across the league early Thursday morning.
TSN Senior Hockey Reporter Frank Seravalli reported earlier on Thursday that as part of the NHL’s due diligence process, teams have been asked to provide arena building availability through the end of July.
Things are happening very quickly and the situation is evolving by the minute, it seems.
Reading the news and the social media feeds of NHL insiders, it seems as though the NHL may follow the NBA's lead and announce the suspension of the season very soon.
Per Dreger, there is a Board call scheduled for 10am PDT.
Per Frank Seravili, NHL teams who have road games are heading to the airport today but awaiting word on whether they need to go or not.
All morning skates/practices have been cancelled.

Ok lets hear some facts. Corona Virus on the scale is a #2,(how fitting), Sars was a 6. They are blowing this out of proportion!! Its a Bad Flu with a Fever. I haven't looked into it but i am willing to bet that most of the people who have died as a result are old or young or were sick already. I could be wrong though i dont know too much about it yet. Nor am i trying to be insensitive to the people who have died or are sick, i better point that out before the Holier than Thou's jump down my throat..
Look on the bright side Leafs Fans, we dont get to watch them blow the Playoffs this year to Florida
