I saw this today in one of the facebook groups. Very shocking. He was a great member of this site. He's one of the good ones. He was always recognizeable when he posted, and showed a great passion for the hobby. RIP Andrew.

Hi SCF members. I have been a very close friend to Andrew sense my early teens. We grew up playing minor league softball together. Then played on the same adult beer leagues. I moved to Edmonton in 2010 and then in 2011 he followed suit. We had a lot of good times together playing in each others work softball teams, going to the batting cages and go carts off the Whitemud. We loved Edmonton cause it had more variety in the hockey card and memorabilia hobby then Newfoundland, we done a lot of collecting side by side. I have always collected Johnny Bower and always had interested in all the older guys. I seen him collect so many different Leafs players over the years and the last guy he collected i believe i had some influence, he collected Tim Horton. Well I moved home in 2015, wish i stayed longer but hind site is only 20/20. but one thing worked out in my favor. In 2018 i found a stick someone was selling and it was a Tim Horton game used stick from the 1964 stanley cup finals. I bought it for my collection because i knew he was gearing up to move home in a few months. When he finally moved home i invited him over and showed him the stick. i seen a look come over his face that i never seen before.It was a look that i will never forget especially after this past week.
Andrew... AKA Fish... thats what all his buddies called him. You are going to be missed more then you ever know. I hope you have found your peace and I hope right now you are sitting down having a coffee and doughnut with Tim Horton him self. love you buddy.

His username was actually almost the same: andrewconnors9. Traded once with him. But he was very active on the forums.

FACKK this is terrible news. The world has lost a truly wonderful human being.

I had the pleasure of working with Andrew in the summer of 2009, and even though it was only a summer Andrew was so happy, positive, and fun to be around that we quickly became friends. He even found a way to make it on to our beer league softball team despite us having 16 guys already! Great ball player and even better friend and human being. .

To those who shared stories above (especially bower16), thank you.
