New to SCF

Hello all,

I have collected sports cards intermittently through out my life. When I was very young I remember buying random packs at rinks after games in the lobbies. I also had cousins who would randomly pick up the 1990-01 Topps cards at CVS and pass them out to me on occasions. The images on numerous cards bring back memories of a different time in the sport. There was a time, an older generation will remember, when a Beckett Hockey Card Monthly was the only place to see out of division teams that might one pass through town twice a year. A break from the old Adams and Patrick division rivals I was so used to seeing throughout the season. As an adult I hold a certain amount of longing for the Nordiques and Whalers as monikers of a different type of game when power forwards ruled the day with dump and chase as the order of business.

My purpose here is to shore up some sets I am working on and receive feedback for anomalies I notice on certain cards.

Welcome aboard! Am I going to need to show off my Nordiques jersey at some point?

I actually love that Andy Moog form the 1990-01 UD with hi stopping the puck on that Nordique. Such a cool photo. The team right before they left for Colorado was really good, but adding Roy, really put them over the top.
