rays Snell won't play if pay reduced
Pitcher Blake Snell will not play in reduced season for
reduced pay. Makes 7 million. "Not worth it". He doesn't want to risk getting the virus.
Maybe if it was for his full salary he would. wonder what health workers, first responders, service
workers (grocery,repair,letter carriers,etc, think?
Hope he never plays again.

Devlin, I agree. Nobody needs him anyway. Let a minor league player take his place. If MLB gets any China money like the NBA, I hope they all have to take a pay cut when their contracts run out. Personally, I wish the NBA would all go under since they depend so much on the Chinese market.

Is he crazy ? Does he think he should get 100% of his contract for doing only a half of a "true" season, or less ? Does he expect the tickets, for spectators/fans, to be at 2x the regular prices or more ? Does he expect the advertisers to pay the full amount that they pay for a full regular season ? Like others have said, let him go.

He just explained everything on his Twitch stream. He said if they play 50% of the season, he'll accept 50% of the pay. That's no issue. But he does reject any caps/reductions on top of that.
